  1. I can relate myself more to Sodapop because how Pony discrives him as a very happy person and that's alway's smileing and happy-going. And I am always happy and happy-going and also I alway's look at the good side of a problem. Also Pony says that Soda usually never cracks a book open and I can't say that I never crack a book open also but once in a while I do but not alway's because reading is not on my top five thing's to do. Also I usually try to understand everything even though if I don't really understand and im also always grinning and when I'm sad I try to make myself happy someway.

  2. The character I can relate to and that I’m most like so far would probably have to be Dally. I thought of Dally because I know that he is like a leader of everyone. He would care for everyone and help them in need or if in trouble. I know that he has done some time in jail and uses bad language, but I don’t look at him in that way to compare myself like that. I see all the good that he has brought to the greasers. Like helping Johnny and Pony when they had to go to the church; I loved how he stuck to his word of not telling anyone about it even though everyone new that he new where they were.

  3. I would say that I am most like Darry, I would say this because he is like the hero big brother. He feels that he has to keep his little brothers safe and that they are his responsibility. I think that I am most like Darry because I have a younger sister and I have to babysit her and I have this protectiveness over her and don't want anything bad to ever happen to her. I can relate most with Sodapop because everyone says that I can always put a smile on their face and I also love to comfort people when they are sad. In The Outsiders it says that when Darry yells at Ponyboy that Soda hugs and comforts him and I find myself doing that a lot too.

  4. I think that i am most like Ponyboy. I think this because he is known mostly for the little guy in the Greasers, and the kid brother. I think that I am like like because I always hang out with my brother and his friends and he is six years older than me so it always seems like im the young one. Another reason that I think I am like Ponyboy is because I hangout with my cousin all the time. I think that this relates to the "Outsiders" because Ponyboy and Johnny are getting closer and closer as the book progresses. My cousin and I are very close with each other, we have known each other ever since birth. He is one year older than me and Ponyboy and Johnny are two years apart. Those are the reasons why I think that I am related to Ponyboy the most in the book the "Outsiders".

  5. I think I am more like Ponyboy because he is like the little kid in the gang and doesn't really know what to do yet but he knows what everyone does and how they are like. Ponyboy is kinda the follower in the gang, I think me and him are alike because I don't really know what to do with my life yet and we follow people.

  6. The character I can relate to most in the story so far is Ponyboy. I can relate to him most because he's basically in a war between the Socs, Greasers, and maybe even his oldest brother. I know how it feels to be in a tough situation whether its school, parents, or friends. I've experienced a lot of drama and if I could I would give Ponyboy a lot of tips to help him through his tough times like don’t pick up the Socs girlfriends. As he recently found out it ends up getting people killed. My second tip would be not to stay mad at his brother. He's probably under a lot of stress with having to work to support all of his brothers.

  7. VHG7 I think the character I am most like is Darry because im the oldest too. I try hard to take care of my brothers sisters and even cousins. I try to teach them right and to do whats right. Just like Darry to Soda and Ponyboy.

  8. In the book House of The Scorpion I think the character that I relate to most would probably be Maria. I say this because when she sees Matt for the first time she is very curious about who he is. I am curious like her sometimes. Another example would be is when Maria is afraid to look at the clone at the hostpital who is suffering. I would be exactly the same because I would really want to help him and I would not be able to handle looking at him suffer. This happens when I really want to take every animal from the pound home because I would feel so bad for them but I know I would not be able to do that. Those are just a few reasons why I would be mostly like Maria. -DEP2

  9. I could relate to Dally because I have a cousin who has done most of the he has done. I would be most like Ponyboy because he is smart, sensitive, cool, and a greaser. Ponyboy is very sensitive about his parents and Soda, but Darry not so much. C.P. 7TH

  10. I think I can relate to Johnny so far in the book because if one of my best/ good friends was being drowned by some cocky guys I would kill someone to get my friend back. I am most like Dally because I am tough and I can keep a straight face, sometimes.

  11. The character I most relate to so far is Pony Boy. I say this because I know how it feels to have two brothers and how one is really nice. When the other one were just fighting with constantly. Like in the Outsiders when Darry is yelling at Pony Boy because he is bringing home B's or when Pony Boy wants to read. Darry will yell at him to go play football outside. The character I say I'm must like is Pony Boy again because we are both are really smart in school, also we both love to read. In the story when Cherry and Pony Boy were talking and Pony Boy was telling a story about his brother Soda Pop. At the end when he was done. Cherry asked him "Do you read a lot"? he said "yes". Another part was when Johnny brought Pony Boy the book Gone In to The Wild. Pony Boy stay up all night and read that book.

  12. The character that I relate to the most is Soda Pop. This is because he is the sweetest one of the older kids. For example, when Pony got beat up he didn't tell him to just suck it up; he was telling him it was okay and he was comforting him. The character I'm most like is Soda Pop. This is because he's so sweet and caring. He's the most like me because he has the natural talent of being a caring person that is always watching his friends backs. For example, when Johnny gets abused by his father Soda is always letting him stay at his house.

  13. I can relate to Pony Boy. We are most alike because I have a friend just like Johnny who is shy and real defensive. For example, when Two Bit was trying to cheer him up Johnny put his head down, his hands in his pockets and turned away. Sometimes I end up in embarrassing situations like Pony Boy, like when he said his older brother hated him.

  16. The Outsiders character I think I am most like is probably Ponyboy. I would say this because Ponyboy has two older brothers. I have two older brothers also. Ponyboy has had his parents have died. My younger sister died when I was young. Ponyboyhas gone through many of bad times in his life and I have had many of bad times. Ponyboy has got pretty good grades and I have good grades.

  18. In the book Airborn, by Kenneth Oppel, I relate the most to Matt Cruse. Matt is the main character in the book, and is very curious. I am a very curious person as well. For example, when an evil aie pirate named Szpirglas boarded their ship, the Aurora, Matt, out of curiosity, followed the pirates. He wanted to see what they were doing. This, of course got him into a load of trouble he could not imagine, and I get in trouble for my curiosity sometimes, too. Another reason Matt and I are alike is that we like be in the air. I thouroghly enjoy being in airplanes, and going parasailing. My best dreams of are flying. In the book, Matt expresses his feelings of being in the air by saying that the airship felt more like a home to him than being on the ground. I don't know if I would like to LIVE in the air, but I love the feeling of nothing holding me back, and I immediately knew how he felt and could relate to his statement. A third and final reason Matt and I are alike are that we both have sisters. He has two, and I have five. He loves his sisters and so do I. That is how I relate to Matt Cruse, the main character in my book.

  22. The character i can relate to the most is probably Dallas. He sticks up for himself and isn't scared of anything, he is very independent and speaks for himself. In the book examples show these character traits by him going to jail all the time and not being scared of it. Then he also gets into a lot of fights and loud mouths the other guys. I am also very independent, and stick up for myself.

  23. In the book “THE OUTSIDERS” I could relate to Soda pop because of many various reasons. One reason I could relate is because he is under standing and caring. Just like soda pop I am kind of laid back. Also Soda pop may sometimes follow his group of friends and sometimes not and that’s what I do. Lastly, I can relate because I have a sweet side and a hard side to me. In conclusion, I can’t relate to Soda pop the most out of any character in the book.

  24. I think im most like Pony boy . Because he is the youngest in his family and sometime he feels like Darry can’t stand him at all. But he gets along great with soda pop. I have that same situation. Me and my sister don’t always get along sometimes she cant stand me. But my oldest brother Nathan and I get along wonderfully were always together and he always has my back just like Soda always has Pony’s back.

  25. I can most relate to Dally and Ponyboy because they are tough and sensitive. Dally because he is tough on the outside and so am I. Ponyboy because he is sensitive on the inside and outside. A reason from the book is when Dally sat behind the Socs and told them off. Ponyboy would be when he was in the church and couldn’t stop crying because he missed his brothers.

The character I can most relate to so far is Pony Boy because of a couple things. One, he is smart in school and I believe I am smart too. For example when Pony Boy brings home a B's and Darry tells him to go outside and play football although Pony Boy just wants to learn to read instead, but I would rather go outside. I am also like Pony Boy because I am the youngest sibling in my family and so is Pony Boy. The only difference in our siblings is he has two brothers named Darry and Johnny. I only have a sister named Amber. I also have a couple different things in common with the other characters but I have more in common with Pony Boy and that is why I chose him.

  27. The character i most relate to is Sodapop. I say this becuase he is the sweetest one out of the gang. He always stands up for his friends and family. I always stand up my friends and family. I always am there to comfort my friends and family when they need it. Like when ponyboy gets beaten up or pushed around. Sodapop always comforts ponyboy and says "its going to be okay!" for example when ponyboy got jumped, sodapop told him that everything would be okay.

  28. I am most like Ponyboy. Because I am not too rough. But I can be rough if I need to. And I dont like it when people get into fights. And I would of also saved the kids in the church if i needed to.

  29. The character I relate to the most so far would have to be Ponyboy because I am the small one in the group of greasers. I also have long hair like Ponyboy, and I hate getting hair cuts. When other people are fighting usually I stay out of it like Pony. Also me and Ponyboy love to run and were good at it. Another thing in common is that me and Ponyboy like to read. He stays up all night reading gone with the wind. Darry is always telling Pony to come out side and play football and he stays inside and reads instead. We both also take school very seriously unlike some people like Sodapop
who dropped out of school and like the rest of the gang who doesn't go to school because they don't think it's important but me and Pony do. That's why I think me and Ponyboy are the most similar

  30. I think i'm more like Darry. Because i'm protective and the tough one. But I will sometimes get made and punch someone. But that's just human nature. But he will do anything to keep his familiy together. That's just what I do to.

I am alson like Johnny because he is a little risky and gets an attutide with his parents. The ways that I am different is that I dont get hurt and I didn' kill anybody. These are reasons I am like JOhnny from the Outsiders.

  33. I am most like Sodapop because we are both the middel child. My two brothers would agree that i am most like him because they think that i get the girls, wich I dont. Soda is kind of cocky in a way like me. Soda out of all the characters is alot like me
