Simile

Please post an example of a simile from your poetry novel. Also explain, in a sentence, the two items that are being compared. Include the page number.

  3. On page 15. Her belly remained empty as an ancient well. This is comaring a girls empty belly and an ancient well because the well would be empty.

  9. In After the Death of Anna Gonzales on page 13 I found a simile, it says "It was a tumor that had bloomed in his body like a weed." It is comparing the tumor in his body to a weed because weeds grow fast.

This simile is comparing how Darra didn't have a matching shoe, and how in the story Cinderella, neither did Cinderella's ugly stepsisters.
